The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and members of the terrorist Islamic Movement battalions adorned in SAF uniform have destroyed al-Halfaya Bridge, a vital connection between Khartoum Bahri and Omdurman. This ruthless bombing follows similar destructive actions, including the demolition of Shambat Bridge, the Gaili Oil Refinery, and an attempt to destroy Jebel Awalia Dam.
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) condemns these vile acts of sabotage by the jihadist Islamic Movement. We urge regional and international organizations to document and denounce these war crimes.
With the assistance of foreign mercenaries, and in a futile bid to hinder our progress, the SAF and the Islamic Movement destroyed al-Halfaya Bridge, jeopardizing the livelihood of innocent civilians by leveling much-needed infrastructure. We will not allow this horrific act to deter us in our relentless pursuit. We are committed to liberating the people of Sudan from the tyranny and oppression that have served as the hallmarks of the former regime and the terrorist Islamic Movement for more than three decades.
Having no honor or shame, the SAF and its extremist minders from the former regime are now attempting to blame this act on our courageous forces to conceal their crime and divert attention from their strategic failures – the most recent being our liberation of the 17th Senga Division and the headquarters of Sennar State.
The RSF is determined to end this war in favor of the people – and to usher in a renewed Sudan on just and equitable foundations. We vow to all our citizens that we will eliminate injustice and marginalization in our country, and bring justice, democracy, and equality to Sudan once and for all.
